The studio’s design approach centers around a contemporary interpretation of rural and coastal architecture. Our vision is to merge the authenticity and advantages of coastal and rural life with the demands of modern living and an intellectual perspective — to create inspiring, original spaces with a strong sense of place.

Founded in 2005 by Gürcan Dere in Alaçatı — a town renowned for its architecture, nature, sea, and historical fabric — the studio has since delivered a wide range of projects across various scales and disciplines. A key strength lies in its interdisciplinary working model, its ability to scale up teams according to the needs of each project, and the integration of design and implementation under a unified creative direction.

Beyond design and planning, the studio also offers project management and construction coordination for many of its commissions — providing clients with a comprehensive and seamless project experience. Each project aims to deliver thoughtful and functional solutions shaped by a creative spirit and professional expertise.

Since its inception, Gurcan Dere Design Studio has continued to evolve — producing work across interior architecture, landscape design, architectural concepts, and product design, blending the energy of an artistic mindset with the structure of professional practice.

Gurcan Dere I Studio, Alaçatı merkezli bir tasarım ve uygulama ofisidir. İç mimari, mimari konsept, peyzaj mimarisi ve ürün tasarımı alanlarında; özellikle Alaçatı, Ege bölgesi, Londra ve İstanbul’da projeler geliştirmekte.

Stüdyo’nun tasarım odağı, kırsal ve kıyısal mimarinin çağdaş bir yorumudur. Amacımız; kıyı ve kırsal yaşamının doğallığını ve avantajlarını, modern yaşam tarzının ihtiyaçları ve entelektüel bakış açısıyla buluşturarak, ilham verici ve özgün mekânlar yaratmaktır.

2005 yılında Gürcan Dere tarafından, mimarisi, doğası, denizi ve tarihi dokusuyla öne çıkan Alaçatı’da kurulan stüdyo, bugüne kadar farklı ölçek ve içerikte pek çok projeyi hayata geçirmiştir. Disiplinler arası çalışma anlayışı, projelere özel olarak genişleyebilen esnek ekip yapısı ve tasarım ile uygulama süreçlerinin entegre bir biçimde yönetilmesi, stüdyonun temel özellikleri arasında.

Yalnızca tasarım ve projelendirme süreçleriyle sınırlı kalmayan stüdyo, pek çok projede proje yönetimi ve uygulama koordinasyonunu da üstlenerek bütüncül bir hizmet sunmaktadır. Her projede hedef, yaratıcı yaklaşım ve profesyonel deneyimin birleştiği, özgün ve işlevsel çözümler ortaya koymaktır.

Kuruluşundan bu yana geçen sürede Gurcan Dere Design Studio, iç mimariden peyzaj tasarımına, mimari konsept geliştirmeden ürün tasarımına uzanan geniş bir yelpazede üretmeye; amatör ruhu koruyarak profesyonel bir anlayışla çalışmalarına devam ediyor.
